Detached houses: a gate, a garage and no porter
40.1 % of the homes in Sant Martí Sarroca are over 120 m², against a 12.8 % median across the towns we cover, and at 99 people per km² the place is spread out. With a detached house the problem is rarely just the front door: there is a gate, a garage shutter, sometimes a garden door, each with its own mechanism. There is no porter or administrator to ring, and no neighbour across the landing holding a spare. For these we normally bring the van even when it is urgent, because the odds of needing parts are different.
