Upgrading a lock usually follows a scare: an attempt on the stairwell, a neighbour who was broken into, or a door that simply feels flimsy. Before selling anything we look at the door you actually have — quite often the cylinder and a security escutcheon are enough.

And for an opening, a rental contract in your name is perfectly good proof of address.

Sólo con el propietario o la agencia detrás: quien autoriza que se abra esa puerta es quien responde de la vivienda, no quien pasa la semana en ella, y ningún cerrajero que trabaje legalmente puede saltárselo. Mándanos el contacto por WhatsApp y hablamos nosotros con ellos; suele ser un mensaje. Si la lleva una agencia, contestan antes de lo que la gente espera, porque la cerradura es suya.
Por eso las urgencias van en moto. En un sitio tan denso como Barcelona los últimos cien metros deciden el tiempo de llegada mucho más que la carretera, y una furgoneta dando vueltas es tiempo que tú pasas en el rellano. Para instalaciones con cita sí hace falta la furgoneta, así que se acuerda una hora en la que haya dónde dejarla.
